well i finished up my ka-t install and its runs good but when starting it up for the first time each day it is really hard to keep running. i have to keep my foot on the gas pedal to keep it running. i elimenated my IACV cause it was broken. after the car warms up it will idle good without holding the throttle. my question is, i have 2.5" hotpipe and a 3" cold pipe. could that be the cause of my cold idle problem? i am replacing the cold pipe anyway because there is a big hesitation up till about 1500 rpm's because it takes a while to pressurize the large pipe.

the iacv bypasses air to the manifold to keep the rpm up so that's probably it. the piping's size shouldn't matter.

hmm, that i dont know. when you test it by taking unplugging it with the engine running, doesnt rpm rise? if so i'd guess it's always open.

this is what happens when using the safc alotof the time. mainly when setting the dec. air settings. you can have it run great cold or hot, of course we rather have it run good when its hot

while in this rough cold start mode add .2 to the NE1 dec.air setting until its warm, then put it back down
