I'm currently looking into buying a car, and I have a hard choice to make. I have found a 1992 240sx, and a 1991 300zx. The 300zx's left rear side is pretty much damaged and needs to have the rear panel(brake, back up lights), and left rear quater panel. to be replaced. Any one know where I can find these parts? I plan on using my car for drifting and show. I know all cars could show but I'm not sure if 300zx's are rear wheel drive. So if you guys could give me some info on these cars and see which one would be a better buy, I would greatly appreciate that.

all Z's are rear wheel drive, and if the car needs a new quarter panel as well as suspension work I think I'd just pass alltogether, there are plenty of decetn cars available for less that it would cost to have that work professionally done

a 240sx is a sporty car. a 300zx is a sports car.

I'd try to find a clean 300zx in your price range and go with that

since i am a z lover i would suggest the z32, but i would have to advise finding one that is not damaged in any way (z32's are expensive to work on), there are some good buys out there on z's you just gotta look for em, however if you plan on drifting your car the s13 is alot lighter than the z and will be easier to get sideways. i believe it has better handling than the z as well. you also have alot more options as far as suspention with a sivia because they are so common in the drift world, you dont see as many people drifting the z32...(tho it is bad *** when you do!)... but over all i suggest the z32 because it is just a sweet car all the way around, like nsr said the 240 is a sporty car the z is a sports car.

I'd say 240 but I am biased as you can tell. It all depends on what you want out of the car. If you are looking for crazy HP and straight line speed I'd say its all Z32. If you want a fun, cheap, 350 ish whp car, I'd say go 240. Just make sure to go turbo which ever way you go.

by the way is that 240 a coupe or a fastback? if its a fastback dont bother if you want to be original get the coupe, there is way more you can do with them and they arent as common as the fastback, a clean s13 coupe with an s14 front end is one of the sexiest cars in my oppinion

DIE!!!!!!!!!! HATCH FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No really the hatch is slightly sexier than the coupe. However from a performance standpoint the coupe is superior because of its closed design, less susceptible to body roll and flex. But S-Chassis is becoming to rare to be picky. I do however disagree with the little brother attitude for the S-Chassis. You can make the S-chassis into whatever you want it to be which is awesome in my opinion. Besides how cool is a supercharged LS1 in a 2200 pound car?

If you are on any kind of budget, I would stick with a 240, although I should be advocating a Z32. 240s are great cars and far more "budget" tuner friendly. Then, finances and knowledge permiting, get a Z32 TT!

I think you posted in the wrong forum to get a neutral answer. Z32 FTW!
