I have a brake line leak and can't find it. I can hear it spraying when someone pumps the brake pedal but I've been all over it and can't find it. It's on the passenger side. All the fluid is leaking from the frame holes and ball joint area. I've looked at the lines on the frame rail going to the rear and doesn't seem to be my of those. Looks like it's going to the shop. Does anyone have an idea or ball park of how much it will cost me? Any info would be greatly appreciated to just get an idea of a price because I'm really worried about it being a really expensive job since I can't even see it spraying. It's a 2001 pathfinder le 4x4.

Sorry for the delay in reply but welcome to NICOclub!

It will be hard to determine how much a shop will charge you, because it will all depend on their labor rates and how much of the line has to be replaced. Sometimes you can just replace a section and sometimes you have to replace the entire line. Most shops make the line from scratch unless it's one of the rubber lines at the wheel, so it will take them time to cut and bend the line, then flare it and install fittings. I guess if you want a really rough estimate, i'd say you're looking at around $500 without knowing for sure what they may try to hit you for on the repair.
