What do you think about an apexi gasket and arp studs? No? suggestions? Cometic is nice and cheap, quality?

Was your old gasket OEM? I'm in the process of installing a similar setup and I'd like to know what to avoid. I am planning on going with a cosworth HG and arp studs.

I'll let you know when I take it off. Not sure. Guy I bought my motor off of didn't know. Actually when we were doing the swap he pointed out a broken metal tab on the front of the motor...like where it would say "Apexi"...we were both curious. Like I said when I get it home and tear it down I'll let you know.

Currently trapped at my girl's house, the Red Dragon anyway.

tell ya something about the cometic. i have it, with the ARP studs, my gauge sender broke this summer, with my stock rad, and taurus fans...

the fan was never coming on, and the gauge never read more then 1/2 temp... turns out it was overheating weekly. i never popped the head gasket, havent ever lost coolant etc.

the only down fall for cometic is that it probably cant be re-used...although their website says you can.

Just remembered about this thread so I thought I'd update it.

After the laborious task of changing my head gasket to an Apexi and ARP studs, I stripped the oil feed to my turbo putting everything back together.

I just fixed that, and now some more shenanigans:
