Well a year ago today I picked my G up from the dealer. It has been a great year so far, eventhough i didn't even hit 3,000 miles. However my G has been on trips to PA and even took some laps around the track at Carlisle last May! I'm looking to start modding and I just wanted to say thank you guys, my G family, for all the good times this year (even though i've been on Nico since '03) and i'm looking forward to getting to know all guys even better in the times to come. On that note...you better come to Carlisle or else

LOL but seriously i wanted to extend my happiness to all of you on my car's birthday. And keep a look out (in the near future) for a thread (with pics) as soon as the modifications start!

G_Whizz, you seem like a decent fellow, therefore I'm going to share the experiences of the last 25 years of my life with you.

When I see mentions of a GFs here I think, wow, there is a poor guy on the wrong side of the kid cycle. Why, because GFs become wives, who become mothers, who always seem to create kids who need food, braces, shoes, clothes, and college tuition.

You'll responds to these needs by working overtime, or getting a second job, and selling the G. Oh, the wife still allows you to have a car, but it's going to be a 1986 Camry. She needs the new minivan that you paid 30k for because of "all the kids stuff." You wouldn't be caught dead driving a minivan, but, somehow, you swallow your pride and drive it, the whole time the kids are screaming in the back seat and wiping their grape jelly stained hands all over the interior.

You'll never look at a Cheerio again without remembering weekends spend vacuuming the damn things from the interior of the minivan. You'll love the smell of sour milk in the seats too.

Purchasing beer is allowed, only if there is sufficient $$$ after the new bedspread and shower curtain. etc. Then there is the beer vs. milk thing, I'm not even going there.

Going out to lunch is a thing of the past. Hello brown paper bag. You'll learn to love bologna on white bread. Maybe, you'll get a piece of fruit too.

Your days at NICO will be a memory, instead, you'll spends time searching for the meaning of life on the Dr. Phil forum.

Only after 18 to 21 years can you return to Infiniti and NICO. You'll love your new 2028 G79 though, of course, you may be putting one kid through Medical school and another through Law school by then, in which case, I hope you used syn oil in your 1986 Camery.

Your friend.rn

LMFAO!! Priceless!!

That just totally brightened my dismall Monday!!

So is that your name in the hat for my Mod position when I have to leave?

She is definitely going to be my future wife.

But.. the G is a complete write off for my own business...so prolly no second job needed as I plan to be retired in 10 - 15 years

She loves the G as much as me and is more of a "truck" person then mini van... but who knows how her thought process will change... I mean she is a woman..

My kids will be strapped to the roof and not in the back seat...so no stains or Cheerios to clean. Besides..they'll be in her truck not my toy.

I work out steady...so I prefer bringing my lunch anyways...usually when I go out to a client lunch...it's yet again written off on the company.

But the comment about the G79 in 2028 was

And I Thank you for your concern!!

God I love this place...

RN, you nailed it! I don't find it quite as amusing, since I lived it.

Let's go back to 1990....the dark days of my automotive years...

8 month pregnant Wifie calls me at work one day and says

"If I have to push this ***** clutch in one more time!!!"

So, the 87 Turbo Thunderbird was traded in on a 90 Taurus Wagon!!!!

FLASH FORWARD to 1999.

Cause there wasn't ANYTHING sporty about the cars gracing our driveway in between!!!

So, in 1999, the Wifie hits a milestone in her lifecycle.......

I find myself in a Ford dealership, her hands grasping my collar and hear this words..

"You are going to buy me this car!!! I don't care about the extra payment!!!"

So, we left the dealership. Wifie in the new RED 1998 Mustang GT Convert.

Me in our family 1998 Taurus sedan.

You are asking, when did SVT finally get his set back???

35th Anniversary Mustang show at Lowe's Motor Speedway.I saw a cobra engine, started grunting again and got one 2 months later for ME!!!

GOOD LUCK G!!!!

Got to go, getting kicked of the computer by a dependent.....

Yes SVT, I didn't tell G_Whizz about the gestation thing.

"WHY do YOU keep STOMPING your feet all the time, Can't you walk quietly?" (as you tip toe through the room)

"Why are YOU breathing so loud, you know I'm not feeling well." (as you hold your breath)

If cars had hormones, this would be a forum about jogging shoes.

LMAO thats friggen hysterical (and sad enough accurate!). In the end cars can only bring so-much happiness, a nice happy family is whats important...right? right?

.....Wheres my whiskey bottle?! /sobs silently

Seriously though, I don't think i'd have a problem forfeiting my current/future car so my family is better off in the long term.

I would've gone in a massive drive-by bannination if I had that trigger button! A lot of times I just shrug it off, you start to get desensitized after a while, of course there are those who give you nipple twisters and make you upset. As long as your girls a good girl theres nothing to worry about. EVER!

that was friggin great....but there is noooo way i'm getting rid of my G...my coupe is my toy end of discussion. And if there is going to be a minivan involved...he'll be driving it, definitely not me! I'd prefer a QX56 or something.

I'm going to be one of those nascar frustrated minivan drivers you see on the road all the time, cutting people off, shooting red lights all while looking half constipated! Why the constipation?! cuz the car isn't getting home fast enough to use the toilet!!

G_Whizz, Omegamerc, I'm planning on lighting a prayer candle for both of you, I feel hopeless in getting through to you though, but;

Wait until you spend until 3AM Christmas morning putting together all the "no assembly required" toys. With foreigh instructions that don't match the parts.

Wait until you learn the hard way that you never put the wheel clickers on their Big Wheels. (for the same reason, never buy them anything with a working siren or horn) The full reason behind this will become apparent the first time you get a headache and try resting.

Wait until you find your little princess sanding your front bumper with 150 grit. Or using your hack saw on your tool box. Or, for that matter, wait until you try finding about 1/2 your tools (wives love using the 10" Cresent hammer).

Wait until you have to choose between a NBA playoff game and little Susie's dance recital on a Sunday afternoon. (no, you can't take a few beers)

If you think I've made any of these up, just wait.
