This is good to know.

1/ Did you keep going to the same place for balancing? Could their machine have needed calibration?

2/ Would the balancing be good on the machine and then crap out on the street, or they couldn't get it balanced properly period?

After 3 months of being unable to help them balanced, and I had a constant tire pull to the right no matter which way i rotated them. I returned them for michelin's cost me 850$ more :( Treadwear was down to 8/10 of an inch in 3000 miles

I want to make this tire work but I just couldn't keep them balanced it was annoying at 65 to 75 mph.
I'm curious. You didn't mention which model tire you bought, nor did you mention if you had the suspension examined, wheels aligned after installation, etc.
You say there was a pull to the right no matter where you placed the tires. That seems more like an alignment or suspension issue.

Ok I thought this thread was about the Ventus S1 noble2 anyway that was what I installed 245/40r20 on a m56s with 20k miles. Cars ride was normal b4 the tires were installed.

I had an alignment done the day after the new tires were installed. The dealer noted performed alignment . tires out of balance. So I went back to tire shop had the tires road forced. Better but not perfect.

300 miles later my hand shakes bad while holding the wheel. Back to balance and better for another 300 miles. This went in for 3000 miles or so until I said enuf.

Discount sent them back to hankook.

And in that 3000 miles I had it aligned twice checking for the pull to the right. Went to a 2nd shop for a alignment check and all was ok. Moved left to right and all that crap it got better but never drive straight at highway speeds for over 2 seconds.

New pilot sports drive straight and are still In balance after 3000k

I really wanted the hankook to work out after all saved me 860$ my friend put them on his 350z and there great

The hankook tires were quieter and performed great. But they didn't work For my m56s

That's good to know. Thank you for supplying all those details. Clearly, you have confirmed it was the tires and NOT the car or wheels. Just goes to show that what works great on one car could be utter crap on another. Sorry you had so much trouble. So far, I'm pleased with my Hankooks but as I said, they aren't even at half their life yet so they may indeed go to crap on my car as well as the miles pile on. If they do, I'll be sure to post about it. Thanks again for the details.

Between the tread wear and the pulling, it sounds like you have alignment issues (which could also make it seem like you need to balance). Some tire shops are NOT good at alignment even though they offer it. For instance, where I live, I had my tires balanced at Big O tire shops several times (always poorly) before I learned that Tire Barn gives a great alignment (only because I bought tires there and didn't want to go to two places). My M45 never went straight on flat surfaces until I had Tire Barn align it (and my previous cars always pulled one way or the other as well).

Sometimes, a force balance (needs equipment that not all places have) provides a better outcome for balancing tires in certain situations.

If problems persist, it is often good to see if the wheels, without tires, are properly balanced without weights and don't have problems to begin with. A good place will check that for you ... or it is worth paying for some situations.
