handbrake lever

hey guys i'm from New Zealand and have a weird question for ya...in a S14 240SX is the handbrake (i guess you call it a parking brake or something) lever on the left hand side of the center console?the one in my S14 is on the right and it hits my leg all the time which annoys the hell out of me so i was wondering if an american one is on the other side because you drive from the other side, and could i swap the center console over to a LHD one to put the lever on the other side...

or even better could someone tell me a part number for the console part, cos i work for nissan parts and might be able to order it if i had a number

mine is on my side of the center console, so yes you should swap center consoles....

You should check how it mounts before switching also. Off the top of my head, I think there was a screw in location, so you may need to drill a new hole or swap the bracket around or modify it or what not.

P.S. it's gonna be harder to do e-brake drift if the e-brake is further .
