I don't know how many of you this appeals to, but I know at least with my old car (1994 Ford Taurus SHO,) there was a local club called TSHOC that had meets maybe once a month and we'd sometimes have up to 30 SHOs come out and just hang out, go get some lunch, that kind of thing...we met up some at the Portsmouth hang out when it was still active too. Well I tried to go out to Chimney Hill tonight to see how it was, and I ended up sitting on the rear bumper of my car with three friends eating McDonald's and almost crying to myself...the police redirected us towards the old Ames on the Boulevard and rather than stay with the ricers I walked across the street to the Porsche dealership and went inside and talked to the security officer for two hours about Porsches. It just seems like the local scene is incredibly depressing and utterly lacking in maturity, and I'd love to see some of us get together once a week or month or something, just to be able to hang out and talk about the cars, help each other out with problems we've been having, that kind of stuff. From what I've seen of local people on the boards everyone seems much more intelligent and mature than anyone out at Ricer Hill, and I think Fuddrucker's or something on a Saturday would be a crapload more fun than anything the local scene has going on. Shoot, if there's interest maybe we can have a day where all of us go to the track a couple times a year? Just shooting out some ideas, but if you're interested in meeting up post here and lets see the interest!
