Hey guys, I set up my Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 on my SR but it is idling very rich and dies the second I give it any throttle. Where it idles at the base fuel map it calls for roughly 1.5ms of injector open time but is giving it about double that. Odd thing is, when I use the quick tune feature to lower the fuel, it dies. Or if I even gradually lower the fuel map values, it dies then too. Even just lowering the time from 1.5ms to about 1.3/1.2ms will kill it.

I looked into things like the coolant correction map which at the coolant temp it was idling at, it was calling for 38% fuel correction (increase). If I turn that off though it won't even start...

I'm using the basemap provided by haltech with an unmodified fuel table, ignition timing set as per Enthalpy's recommendations (doesn't run right with stock timing either), some modified target AFR values (1 lambda at idle, .8 at WOT, mostly linear between), Dwell timing set at 5ms for my LS2 coils, injector resistance set to high (I measured 12 ohms of resistance on my 550cc's) and O2 control set to the wideband which was calibrated and linearized. Everything else is stock as per the basemap.

Any ideas here? Thanks in advance.

The base map is just a starting point, just enough to get the engine running. It still needs to be tuned.

I realize that.

"Odd thing is, when I use the quick tune feature to lower the fuel, it dies. Or if I even gradually lower the fuel map values, it dies then too. Even just lowering the time from 1.5ms to about 1.3/1.2ms will kill it."

When I try and reduce the fuel because it is rich, it dies.
