hi guys...

to make a long story short, i have a haltech e11 v2 and want to put it on my CA18DET engine... i've heard that there are wiring adapters that go between the big blue ECU plug and the Haltech ECU that saves A LOT of time getting all the cables ready... the obvious question now is where to find these adapters... any ideas ???

thx,

nico

i dont think anyone makes it for the CA, Haltech Australia have a CA powered datsun so maybe they will wire up a custom harness for you,

but the best solution would be to get a flying lead harness and wire up all the sensors etc from scratch it saves allot fo time tracing wiring problems and can be done neatly and hidden nicely,

I have a E6k and used my OE CA harness and just wired in the sensors i needed, cut off the big blue ECU plug and wired everything up to the Haltech plug.

if i could do it again, i would get the flying lead harness and no it nice and neat. itys pretty easy once you have the CA FSM and haltech pinouts.

here you can get haltech stuff in UShttp://www.racetep.com/haltech/halweb0804.htmgood luck.

This is what i did. THe haltech does not even use half the wires and sensors ans controls that the Nissan ECU does. Wiring it is pretty simply done and make the engine bay simple and clean.

Also like CA19DET said you loose all the problems that may exist in the stock harness which was one of the biggest reasons for me going stand alone, so that i could start everything from scratch.

thx guys....

but i have gone through this on my RB and know how much TIME and NERVES it takes to do so... now a friend on a CA will be doing it, and i thaught that an adapter could be the easy way out ... guess i was wrong
