Ahhh....where to start...

WRONG! WRONG WRONG WRONG!!Half Life 2 was not near done at the September 30 2003 release. It would have gone till mid-summer 2004 even if the hacker problems hadn't happened. The hacker problems only added about four months to the total time. It still would have been nearly 5 years in development. And before you start complaining about HL2 advertising, you should realize that the first adds for it appeared just a couple months ago. NOT a year ago. They had thought it would be ready, THAT's why they advertised a year ago. Look at Halo 2 advertising. The best example of over-marketing I can think of. You really should get your information straight before you make a rebuttal.

1) You play FPS's on PC almost exclusively. I understand because I used to be the same way. It is so much easier to play on the PC, but Halo is different...I'll explain.
2) You are not an Xbox fan. That's why you say you hate the controls. I lover them and find them very well-done, done much like a keyboard/mouse combo would work on a PC.
Halo is different in that it has Xbox live which makes it a fun multiplayer game. It also has pretty amazing graphics for a console FPS. It is the best console FPS out there, by far.

No. I am an Xbox fan. I love Riddick, Fable, SB:LoC. Riddick is an EXCELLENT FPS because the controls work. Red Faction 2 for the PS2 works because the controls work. Why couldn't Halo 2 have controls like that. Besides, even on the PC, the vehicle controls suck. Bad. It's not the buttons, its the effects of the buttons. Red Faction is better than Halo 2, and its years old.
Also, how is Xbox live any different from playing a PC game online. I don't get how that comes into play with the rest of your argument.

Oh, and play the whole way through.

If you had read my whole post...or even the first half...you would see where I said "I finished it on normal in less than ten hours." I did play it all the way through. There is no reason to play it on legendary. If it was stupid on normal, it'll be stupid on legendary. The only difference is monster strength and such. That won't make it any more--or less, for that matter--fun. It's still the same bugs, same repetitive maps, same stupid story, same old same old.
Now I see you didn't read much of my post at all...don't respond unless you read it ALL. I traded Halo 2 in for credit toward HL2 Collectors' Edition. I CAN'T go on Xbox live. besides, the online play for Halo 2 is the most boring and un-entertaining of ANY FPS I have ever played.
Did I miss anything?
