the rumors of my demise have been greatly exagerated. it's been a while since i last posted so i guess the mods thought i had ceased. just been fishin, that's all. i attempted to log on and was denied, but now i'm back. the question here is, how is the heated switch panel removed? can not seem to find that lil'bit of info in the fsm.

It's held in place in 4 places- 2 across the top edge and 2 across the bottom edge. All 4 are about 1 1/2" from the ends. Put a skinny screwdriver in one of these 4 spots and gently wedge between the plate and the trim. Should pop right up. Welcome back Luigi.

Man, you guys are a lot braver then I am.Every time I try something like this, I either break a clip or two, scratch or cut the escutcheon, or both. I can fix mechanical stuff like I knew how, but body and trim work escapes me. I gots ta pay an exert to do that kind of work for me.

I envy you.

Non heated Q's have the coin tray, so I just grab mine firmly and yank the cr@p out of it, in an upward motion. Since I have no wires to worry about. Always works for me, no clips broken.
