half way stalling

Car: my nissan 240sx

well right now the car drives but while my foot is on the gas it will die/stall. If i pump the gas after that it starts back up on its own. If it stall while at idle it starts right back up. now before I fixed the timing (which I will check again tomorrow) it would stall and take a min to start back up. Any help is appreciated.
