Well, after the PITA it was to remove transmission, clutch and flywheel (I swear that last bolt was torqued to like 300 ft/lb), we found out several hairline cracks and some hot spots on the flywheel contact surface. Some of them can be felt if you run your fingernail through them. So, is this expected before resurfacing?

I've seen two old KA flywheels now and both of them had hairline cracks all over em'. I dont know if it would come out with resurfacing or not, but it made me uncomfortable enough to pick up a fidanza! Replaceable friction surfaces make me feel better :)

bad mojo man, chuck it and get a new one. Ever seen a flywheel explode? It'll take your leg clean off.
