Actually.....I had a friend back in the day that had a yellow chevy, it might have been a retired taxi cab. Anyway he and I and a few friends decided to spend the night in Santa Cruz and on our way up a part of his exhaust came loose and starting dragging on the freeway at 70 mph. Needless to say there was a pretty nice display of sparks. So we pulled over called a few tow companies, one guy showed up and said he had bailing wire and I said that was good enough and will do the trick so my buddy told him to do what he had to do. Now after it was all said and done my buddy said he didn't have money which would have been nice to mention before we started calling around. So I told him, "Well you got plenty of dank see if he'll trade the work for green." Wouldn't you know the truck driver was all about it, actually he was downright stoked with the deal.

once the clutch slave cylinder went out on me. and when the tow truck came he said by company policy he couldn't tow my car cuz it wasn't stock... but he said i was cool and towed it anyway with my exhaust scraping the whole way. Yay for low cars!

went to the lock smith and he tried to make a new key from my 2 pieces he said he did the best he could. The key worked to unlock my doors and when i tried it in the ignition it only turned enough to unlock my steering wheel but wouldnt turn any further, and after that it wouldnt even work for my door locks

I know theres a key code for each car but of course my sticker in the glove compartment is missing.Does anyone know if nissan can get the key code from my vin and then generate a key from that?Im about to callbut if anyone has any info for me id appreciate it.

Haha, my key likes to bend too. Sometimes it doesn't want to go in the door lock all the way, then I go to unlock and it just bends more. Well good thing I carry another key lol.

i'm all for helping out when i can, but in the same time that it took you to post this, you could have very well called up your local nissan service department and gotten an answer.

There are 3 things you can do...

1) go to a Nissan dealership, and have them cut an generic key blank from the key code you have based off of your VIN number. GIve me the VIN and I'll look it up for you, and if it does have a key code, then just go to the nearest dealership and they can cut one for ya...

2) Buy a new lock set. About $200 or so

3) Call a lock smith, should be in the $100 range

sorry didn't see the bit about the locksmith...

just give me that VIN number and I can let you know, or you can call a local dealership, and they can help you
