Had the Z for 3 weeks....is it ok to wax it yet???

I'm getting ready for a road trip with the car....I'd love to put a couple coats of wax on it to help with the bug issue's I'll have by the time I get back (about 1000 miles round trip...that will be the end of my break-in period too!)

The reason I'm asking is that I've read that you have to wait to let the paint "season" before appying wax...

I purchased a bra for the trip in case I can't actually wax it before I go...

any suggestions will be gladly accepted...

I waxed mine after the second week, and it made a big difference. the wax enhanced my paints definition(sparkles) You can feel your paint too after washing it..your finger does not glide..when you wax it on the other hand it feels like glass...thats my $.02

Dude, I'm sure the car is a few months old. I got mine a month ago and the build date is 12/06. I waxed mine after I had it like 2 days. I'm sure the paint is totally cured.

With the clear coat that all new cars have, the paint is cured right away and new cars usually have delivery grit, fallout, etc. A quality polish and even a clay bar or liquid paint cleanser before polishing will really bring out the color.
