My best solution is to shift over as close to the center console as possible, use my left foot to use the throttle and brake, and use my crutch in my left hand to push in the clutch, and the right hand to shift. the only issue with this is during the shift you are left with no hands on the wheel. this can be remidied one of to ways. the first is that you could tell your passenger to take the wheel for a second... or you could push your knee up into the steering wheel to hold it in place.
Rofl. That was so necessary.OM3GA wrote:but what if the passenger is doming him out.
when i was 17 i flipped my 400ex back when i was on the back tires, the rear grab bar snapped off and drove 3 inches up my right arse cheek,i couldnt move my right leg for a few weeks.confused9 wrote: what about "the perfect shift"? anyone know if that works?

I have found the answer to your problems.
Never use a clutch pedal again.
yea i definitely don't want to try it. i've done it an old nissan truck but i'm not trying it in my car lol. it sucks driving my car to and from work and it KILLS my knee. david drive my carKYZAAC wrote:when i was 17 i flipped my 400ex back when i was on the back tires, the rear grab bar snapped off and drove 3 inches up my right arse cheek,i couldnt move my right leg for a few weeks.
i had a 94 ford ranger 5 speed, i decided to try and drive, i did everything with my left leg, the truck idle'd high so to pull away i released the clutch slow until start moving, then gas, when i wanted to shift i would just rev it high, clutch, shift, back to gas. when i needed to brake, just put it in neutral. then repeat the process. i stayed away from hills any popular roads. i wouldn't recommend this method tho lol but at 17 i'd do anything to get out of the house.
as for the perfect shift, yes it does work, i drove trucks for a few years, 18 speeds, only time i used a clutch is when you pull away, just get the feel for the rpm's, when you want to switch into a higher gear, let off the gas and switch, when you want to gear down, rev up and switch. i cant remember what the exact rpm's are, but those big Diesel's dont rev very high. i've tried this many times in my 240 with no problems. if you never done it before chances are you will prob just grind the gears to s***
yea what if you are?OM3GA wrote:but what if the passenger is doming him out.
