Does anyone have experience or links to tutorials on how to modify Navteq files? I know it's possible to create custom startup screens & modify POI's on older BMW discs, but those were indeed "older" and possibly more easy to edit.

Here are some links to BMW nav editing for examples:

Thanks!

It might be possible, but all the files are just stored as .DAT files and those could be anything. the .DAT is just an extension, and we would have to figure out which program could properly read the actual encoding to make any changes. But if you can figure out a way to read the files properly, at least everything is organized well enough into easy to understand folders.

These might help you out:

So maybe if you can find out how to read garmin data, it would help with these disks too
