HACK: Play music from phone over Bluetooth

Technically speaking this should work-- it's a .cab file (a file that self installs itself when downloaded or ran on a cell phone). Download/install and you should be able to stream your mp3s and other music files from your phone over the bluetooth in your Altima. Just found this so haven't had a chance to try it myself (since I'm at work atm). The comments suggest that some have had luck with this and others have not. If you try this out and have any luck, let us know!

** this will only work on a windows based smart phone, any other phone will not be able to detect or install the .cab file.

Pretty sweet idea, I'd be really interested what sound quality is going to be like though, it's only going to broadcast through the center speaker, no bass....

Aye, from my understanding our factory Bluetooth system only uses that center speaker, however most aftermarket units use the entire system?

(Haven't had much experience with aftermarket stereos with bluetooth)

True, it would be a lot easier to modify an aftermarket system to use all speakers if they don't by default too.

This would still be interesting to test, one piece of the puzzle. Do you have a windows based phone to try it?
