ha! KA24DE into 89 with KA24E?

sup, just a quick question which im SURE has been asked and answer many times over but, i its 4 in the morning and im too tired to go through the threads form months ago..

can you drop in a KA24DE into an 89 240 SE and still use the trans fromt eh KA24E and wiring harness and all that crap? reason is ive got one 89 240 with a spun rod bearing and it knocks like crazy, im surprised the rod isnt hanging out the side of the block, and i found a good deal on a used KA24DE that still runs perfect... so let me know, if its not a direct swap let me know whats involved in making it work so i can decide whether or not to buy the motor or find a KA24E, thanks!

You can use the trans, but nothing else. You need the ECU, harness, etc.

So if I get a COMPLETE ka24de with ecu/harness/etc it can drop right into an 89 body? I wont need any other parts?
