My old motor everybody. Unfortunately my camera died before I could get to the fist size hole in the other side of the block, yes I said the block!! This is a CA18DET, still ran after this happened. Well I drove it about six feet

Luckily I had two extra motors and a rebuilt head

My old motor is sitting in a shop in MD with a fist side hole on the drivers side of the engine block as well. #1 cylinder too. do you know what made yours go?

Had to be rod failure, because I actually pulled the rod out of that hole you see. It was so disfigured that you can't tell it is a rod anymore. The hole that I have in the block is on cylinder one. This is the aftermath of that I am thinking.

This is a big to you.

You by no means have a "racecar", and though i like your engine, pleasekeep this smacktalk to the general forum...

Your inability to maintain your motor and keep it from doing what ever it didto throw that rod says alot about where your priorities lie, so please justquit it and take care of your next motor.

yea yea I am sorry I got a little carried away. Please forgive me I was retarded and acting like a ricer. I never said I had a race car either but I do take care of my motors. I take care of all my cars I have just had a string of bad luck and you don't even know how many km's were on my car. However you were right to bust my balls and I will bow down in embarrassment for my mistake.

to 2bn,

have you ever driven on the German Autobahn?? This isn't stop and go driving like you are used to Stateside. Most people here maintain high speeds at pretty long intervals (top speed 250km) , which I am sure is pretty hard on the motor. I also have seen many many 200sx (all equipped with CA18DET) in the junk yard only because the bottom end fell out (a head rebuild costs 1700 euros, and a full rebuild is 3500 euros). Are you telling me that all these people failed to maintain their cars? Maybe all Euro versions of the CA just have bad bottom ends, or all Germans just don't give a rats *** about their cars??? You are right in one respect, I don't have a race car but after being an avid honda guy crossing over to Nissan's I feel like I am driving a race car.

It was definately some riced up smacktalk, you gotta see that...

BTW, have you ever driven stateside? We have this thing called an Interstate where people drive fast. Even to your 150 mph limit youjust spoke about. And we have way more that just one of them, too.

So dont take it personally. I was merely showing you the wayfrom a tech board to a general chat forum.

Uh we have this thing called an interstate where people drive fast, yeah no sh== I am an American working with the U.S. military and you can't possibly tell me that a single person goes on the interstate and drives up over 100mph daily like they do here (not legally). There are also people doing 150mph on the interstate everyday legally in the U.S.!!??? Plus do you honestly think there is one stretch of Autobahn here? Here's a quick lesson for you The first high speed stretch of autobahn was completed in 1935 from Frankfurt to Darmstadt started by Hitler in 1933 (although started earlier a lot of them were never really finished) but you think that was the only one built in 71 years?? This stretch was also used by the grand prix racing teams of Mercedes for speed record attempts. Also there are nearly 12,000 km of autobahn which is only rivaled by the U.S.'s interstate system.

Oh that is right you already knew this.
