I was wondering if anyone had a lead on headlight conversions. I attempted to look around and search for some options, but I was not able to find anything suitable that others have used (no longer made or available)

I would like to do the lo/hi beams to H4 simply because in the PNW, it helps to be able to see somewhat when driving when it is dark from 4pm to 8am

Doing the conversion, would there be anything else I would need to do? I have seen some that have made a completely new wiring harness for the headlights with relays.

Thanks!

definitely use relays. But IDK about what exactly it would take to get the truck wired up right.

Check out my build thread below in regards to doing this. The link is located at the top of the thread.

I installed 6K HID lights, two relays, a new 6 terminal fuse block, new wiring and new headlight enclosures.

There wasn't that much re-wiring involved. The most was under the dash in getting the relays wired to the lighting stalk. The headlight wiring was easy, just grab some rolls of red and yellow(or whatever color you want) wiring to replace the stock wiring.

Due to the age of the existing wiring to the headlights, I would suggest replacing it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll go ahead and replace the wiring. Probably a good idea to do a few new ground wires around the truck while I am at it... :tisk:
