I recently got the Enjuku H4 headlight conversion kit.... It didnt seem too bright and I emailed Don and PDM-Racing about the Bosch conversion he has... and instead of recommending his system, he recommended that I first look into getting a relay system to direct power instead of using the OEM plug/harness/grounding from the stock headlight system because he said I was probably taxing the OEM stuff, which would account for low light output.

So what I am asking is does anyone have the conversion and did anyone use a relay system to wire it up?

Personally I've got the Bosch conversion without the relay but with PIAA super extreme white bulbs and it's more than enough to blind drivers if your headlights aren't properly aligned (mine are somewhat biased to the left and I haven't gotten the new adjuster screws to adjust the headlights properly as mine are rusted to hell). Reason I know is because I was following my gf in my car and my headlights light up her rear view mirror and she said it was quite blinding... so take it for what it's worth.

Im with 180fan. I have the bosch H4 conversion as well, with PIAA super plasma bulbs. They're pretty damn bright; people flash their highbeams sometimes to tell me my highbeams are on, but there actually the low beams. So maybe you should try swapping bulbs and see if that helps; or get an actually HID kit ;)

er the super extreme white bulbs I got were 125w/135w. So I've 125w for the low, 135w for the high. So yes, my bulbs came with both high and low beams.

As for question #2, do you ever use your high beams? If not, then probably not. Do I use the high beams? Sure I do, when I'm on the freeway and it's so dark I swear to god that I'm the only one floating there in a sea of darkness and when I'm speeding on that sea of darkness (unless it's foggy or raining), I do use the high beams.

no, the bulbs were just one set. They've got both the high and low built into the same bulb enclosure. I've got a 180sx with the flip up headlights and only has one place for bulbs to go in the headlight assembly. With the Bosch H4 conversion, there is only a opening for one H4 bulb. The H4 bulb I bought was the Piaa Super Extreme White rated at 125/135. I just push in the combination switch that controls the turn signals and the lighting for the instruments and the exterior lights to turn on the high beams.

yea i just realized that the bulbs have both high and low beam but the S14 has a bulb for each high and low so i guess 2 sets are required for me. unless there is a way to encorporate the high/low into one bulb outlet.

oh crap sorry I didn't see that you're on a 95. Well the thing is that you're on two different bulbs. H4 on low and 9005 for high? I suspect you need two different bulbs unless you're willing to do some rewiring to run both into one bulb. Er Dunno man I'd say get two sets that's if you use your high beams alot, if not, then I'd be pretty happy just using low beams if it'll save me some bucks.

nope, i just went out and found out how it works. the only H4 terminal is the low beam so you put the bulb in that terminal and if you take out the other bulb which is regularly the high beam the car automatically uses the high beam in the PIAA bulb. no need to get two sets. good thing cause i was getting upset that i would have to spend anoth $60 for more bulbs

hey right on that's some good info to keep in my bag of tricks. Hmm I wonder if that'd work on my sister's altima...
