I have had it on 2 of my cars. The first one was stock bottom end and the H1C with the 16cm housing. I did 377whp on 15psi. Had full boost around 4200 rpm. I also have it on my current car which is a fully built KADE. I have cams this time around and let me tell you that it really wakes up with some cams. I went to the dyno but my clutch was slipping. I was running 15psi again and it made 340whp at 4500rpm and then the clutch slipped. If it would held im thinking I would have made it into the 400's/ For the price, its a good turbo.

I had him raise it to 7200, so not that much higher than stock. I dont know what they are good up to. People have said and stated they quit making power around there but im convinced theres more left in it. I just finish putting a clutch in tonight so Im gunna try and make it to the dyno in the next few weeks here and let er rip. Ill let you know how it goes. ANy other questions just ask

Also, you want 400 on the motor or too the tires??? The turbos have a lot of aftermarket support too, like any other. They have diffferent housing and different sized wheels you can get for a very affordable cost.

I just had Scott raise it in the ECU. If your gunna run megasquirt know what you are doing. Its not all that hard to hook up or tune. You need some knowhow in the fuel and timing area tho. If you dont feel confident then I would bring it to an expirienced tuner. As long as your thinking about going standalone you mine as well think about running E85 too. You would have to get larger injectors to run it but you can make very aggrsssive timing maps with E85 to get gobs of power. I guess its all up to what you want to do. I just bought a tuned ECU cause I didnt want to mess with the tuning high and low throttle stuff. But if I would have I deffinetely would be running E85. Im sure you can find plenty of threads on that topic tho. My previous car I had the Clutchmasters stage 5 clutch and it was nice and very easy to drive. Pedal felt like stock. It held 377whp for a long time. I I just put in a different clutch in my new car tho. I bought it off someone from KA-T.org. Its a clutch specialties specail made. They said it will hold 550ft lbs or torque, but we will see. Keep the researching going and let me know if you need help with anything, see ya

i always thought the exhaust side of the h1c is way too big for the ka, your's may be a smaller footprint from most h1c i have seen.

For 400 WHP that turbo is THE WRONG choice. Pick one that is in full boost by 3000rpm. Like the very affordable T3/TO4E in 50 trim. There's a reason everyone uses it, cheap and one of the best for the KA. Hell, you can hit 400 with a .48 AR hotside and have basically NO lag at all.

Holset makes a great turbo, that one however is a poor choice. If you were aiming at over 500, then maybe.

its an exelent turbo , and under 500 brand new. h1c is a bit big as far as exhaust side and spool goes. What you want for ka is hy35w. Its same compressor side but turbohousing is only 9cm. And it hits full spool of 30-40psi on dsm's by 3500. So on ka by 3000. I 'll let you know exact rpm in a few weeeks hahah. (waiting for xternall wastegate+ new couplers and t clamps before it gets strapped in)

There is also a size up from hy35 to hx35 gets you a 12cm exhaust housing, i was reading people with oem dodges push those into 40-50 psi area.

to get you an idea on how h1c will flow look at Jeff's pull awhile back(30psi+ on ka24det using h1c)http://filebox.vt.edu/users/je...e.jpgat 18psi he did 11's on the track
