man this is complicated ok i tryed to do that but it wont even run mayb im not on the compression stroke how do i know if i am at TDC on the compression stroke???now my car wont start its almost there but not quite therenough to crank...what do i do?Rucca wrote:Because when you put it back "the right way" you are actually putting it back the wrong way.
When you are finding TDC, you are finding TDC on the exhaust stroke instead of TDC on compression. Solution? Well, for you, you can spin the car to TDC when the distributor points to cylinder 1 it'll be TDC compression. Now, remove the distributor, point and reinstall it pointing at cylinder 1 with the bolt hole lined up.
ok i got the compression stroke right and TDC and distributor set perfect and fired up perfect but reved up and motor started shaking like hitting a rev limiter at 3000 rpms and found water in the oil whats going on plz help im thinkin the head is worped or blown head gasket idk why would i be losing so much power??? its total240freak19 wrote:
