Generally speaking the Sport suspension for the G is the same as the 350Z, the difference being that the struts are .5" shorter for the Z.Sentientbydesign wrote:I know that the stock struts on my I30 didn't hold up very long with eibach springs. I didn't track that car, but I did drive it pretty hard around town.
Anybody know how much difference there is between the G35 Coupe's sport suspension and the 350z's?
I'd say the most cost effective way to go is to do the 350Z suspension swap. You drop 1" for a sedan, 0.5" for the coupe and dont sacrifice ride quality while lowering center of gravity and improving handling, it can even stiffen it up a little if you dont have the sport suspension. Also a nice set of sways goes great with a little drop.eZg001 wrote:Perhaps a dumb question, but one I have not seen answered in the THOUSANDS of posts I have read.
Are there aftermarket struts that has handle the shorter travel for a longer length of time?
All I seem to see are posts about coilovers. Haven't really seen much on what struts go with aftermarket springs? Since I don't plan on tracking, a more cost effective package is attractive.
Does the 1" drop on the 350Z/Sedan swap require a camber kit or is it just springs, shocks, alignment and go?tollboothwilley wrote:

However, you can find just SHOCKS alone for our cars, or make different combinations of shocks and springs if you dont want to go for coilovers, but good luck finding the perfect combination. (take a look at Tokico D-specs for instance)
