What are the advantages and disadvantages of using these springs, over the eibachs?? The Drop in the front is 1.4 and the rear its 1.3, but will I need to replace the shocks and struts with these springs?

If anyone is wondering the part number is 53070-3.

No you will not need to replace your struts. H&R makes a good spring. The only difference is the rear will be a little lower.

If it was me I would talk H&R into giving me a discount or something for representing them on NICO and getting them more customers based on you. I would get H&R to be the first really. Thats the only advantage I can think of.

Haven't seen anyone with the H&R. Would be nice to see a comparison. Give it a shot man!

the thing is, with a FWD car, you want the rear higher than the front so there is more weight on the front wheels

1/4 inch lower in the rear isn't going to adversely affect your performance in the least though

So if I want the car slightly lower than on the Eibachs, my performance wont change. Thats good to know.

Yea that is very true. I want my car lowered right on the tires with almost no gap thats the only reason im looking at the different springs. Im definately getting 20's so I know rubbing will be an issue the lower the drop but ..................

right

the lower center of gravity will give you better performance all around. Acceleration because your wheels wont hop or travel as much, Braking because your front end doesn't dip as much and doesn't throw your momentum forward abruptly, and Handling, well i think thats pretty obvious, thats what the springs are designed for

All good points Blake!

Or,...you can be like some of the teenage ricers around my area and save yourself a couple of $$ by torching off the bottom section of your OEM springs then re-installing it But I wouldn't recommend that

As for me, performance is key as I'll be autocrossing the coupe.

autocrossing is great

but if your going to get out of the ameture spectrum of autocrossing or start to do any serious track times with your car, you going to want a tein/koni/bilstien/etc type setup

I'm no expert physicist, but 1/4" is a lot in the world of physics. I agree; lower front end and a higher back end is the way to go.

We're talking about the inertia of a 3200 pound car here. I was saying its a 1/4" lower in the rear than the eibach kit. Eibach 1.4" front 1" rear. H&R 1.4" front 1.3" rear. There isn't going to be any negative repercussions from 1/4" lower from H&R over Eibach
