H & R Springs for the EX35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Anybody have the H & R springs installed? I am interested in the end perfomance, was it worth it? How much did install cost? Did the alignment work without a alignment kit, if a kit was needed, what kit did you need to buy. Any final thoughts, regrets?

Thanks

I have H&R springs installed
Was it worth it? That is something you have to find out yourself.
Someone might think that is the best thing they can do to their car and someone will completely disagree.
Installation cost varies from shop to shop and also your location.
I paid almost $200 at a friend's shop and I really don't know or care if that is cheap or expensive. I just want my parts to be installed by someone I trust.
I don't have any alignment kit. You can get adjustable front control arms, but I don't feel like to replace factory aluminum arms to steel bars.
Front alignment is almost within factory spec, rear is off about 1 degree and cannot be adjusted any further.
Regret? No.

+1 on the H&R install. I recently installed them and I love it. I've been using H&R springs for years on everything from my daily drivers to track cars; not a bad way to go. One thing I would say is if you are looking for that 'slammed' look... you're not gonna get it from these. I installed a set of staggered 20x8.5 & 10 with 245/40's up front & 275/35 in the rear and I still have a 2 finger gap. I'll post a photo once I figure out how.

Cheers!

This is my with H&R
Looks lower than HEX35 probably because color matched side skirt and trim around the wheels.
20 x 8.5 all around 245/40/20 tires

Sweet EX... Clean... Your Drop Is Perfect! Hopefully Mine Will Settle A Bit More... They Are About A Day Old In The Photos. Planning On Fitting A Borla Catback From A G37 Soon... We'll See How Much Fabrication Goes Into It... Cheers!

Oh yeah that was about 2 weeks after I installed the springs. Your car is on its way there
I don't think the cat back need much fabrication, my guess is that you need to extend the tip out about 1~2"
Other parts should be direct bolt-on

Thanks everyone, I got the springs!!
I think I will wait a few months for the snow to melt before I have these installed, so far the best price I found on installation is $700 OUCH!! I will continue to shop installation qoutes and will report back when they are installed.

I just ordered the H&R springs - they arrive next week. But after putting on the Hotchkis front and rear 370 sway bars, and the fact I'm running 245/45-20's - my shop is saying lowering it 1.3 and 1.2 may be a bit too much.

I can see by the pics above there is still clearance - but i'm running a taller tire.

Thoughts from those of you who have done and how has it been so far? These are not progressive - so feedback on ride would be appreciated, too.

Thx

I recently purchased an 08 Infiniti EX35 and was considering lowering it using H&R Springs. I used H&R sport springs in the past on a 02 Passat paired with Bilstein sport shocks as the factory shocks didn't operate at the lower height making the ride extremely bouncy. My question is, are users also replacing their struts on the EX35, or are the factory struts working properly with the lowering springs? Thanks in advance...
