I could have sworn I made a thread about this back when this was actually news, but I guess I didn't. So now I will.

Wii owners probably already know about the upcoming launch of Wii Ware, Nintendo's competition for XBLA and whatever Sony calls their online distribution system. From the looks of things, it'll be a gateway for some less traditional games, and also a great way for indie developers to get their products to the public.

While a lot of the games look fun, there's one that stands out as particularly great:

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (or SBCG4AP).

The Brothers Chaps have teamed up with the developers of the new Sam & Max episodes to develop an episodic adventure game set in the Homestar Runner universe. It'll be released for the PC and Wii, but Wii owners will probably get the best experience since it's being designed with the Wiimote in mind.

H*R regulars will probably remember a short Youtube "safety" clip in which Strong Bad discussed the safe use of a Wii and Wiimote. At the time it was assumed to be just a funny satire of Nintendo's overamped warnings that prelude doing pretty much anything on any of their current systems. At the end it featured a short CGI scene with a 3D Strong Bad standing in the field and an animation in the corner begging the player to "do something!" with the Wiimote. It was subtitled "Actual Gameplay Footage!!" Turns out, it really was.

I think the PS3's network is just called PlayStation Network.

I liked Strong Bad back in the day (havent seen them in years though) and I F*CKING LOVED Sam & Max when I was a kid, so that sounds awesome. In '93 or whatever year it was that the Sam & Max game came out, that's about all I played. I remember being really hyped about the cartoon show when it came out, and after watching one episode I gave up. I dont know how they made such an amazing game into such a ****ty show. I still have my copy of that game, and Day of the Tentacle also.

I remember the TV show.. didn't realize it was a video game though
