so i recived my stage3 chip today, and i intalled it just as the directions said, and i go to start it up and it would barly idle so i set my safc agian to run with my z32 mafs and it would rev up with no problem but when i went to drive it, it would just stall out so i pulled the chip out to make sure none of the prongs were bent up and they were all good so i put the chip back in and the car wont even start now...i have all the mods that the chip is tuned for..anyone have any ideas?..could they have sent me an automatic chip by mistake?..i emailed them but they didnt get bak to me yet

What are your in and out settings on the SAFC? The stage 3 chip is setup for the Z32 mafs IIRC, and the SAFC shouldn't be doing much.

i installed the chip and unpluged the safc..yea its suppost to be tuned for a z32 mafs but it would only idle if i tryed to give it some gas and take off it would stall out...then i pluged the safc bak in and set it to 2in7out and it would rev up fine..then when i went to drive it it wouls just run really rich and stutter and turn off

well, the reason why it was idling but stalling out was cause when you unplugged the SAFC, you essentially unplugged the MAF.

Try plugging it back in, and setting the in/out back to the normal 7/7 instead of altering the signal.

edit: just reread the original post, try setting the idle with the idle adjustment screw

the chip was suppost 2 be tuned for a z32 maf..do i didnt even need to have the safc hooked up any more..but to get it to rev up i had to set the safc agian...now i cant even start the car...the chip had no effect on the car at all..it actually made the car run worst..and now it wont even start..is there a chance they sent me a bad or untuned chip my mistake?

ok this chip is suppost to be tuned for a z32 mafs..so i dont even need to be running my safc..but with the chip in and the safc unpluged it would only idle..if i plug my safc in and set it over to 2in7out then it would rev up fine bout it wasnt drivable...and not the car wont even start with that chip in..i had to put my stock chip bak in and it runs fine...but the stange 3 chip is suppost to be tuned for a z32 maf,440/444 injectors, walbro 255,fmic,exhaust,intake,t28...if it was really tuned for that then i WOULDNT need my safc to run my car..so thats y im thinking they sent me a bad chip?..anyone els think that can be true?

If you're gonna unplug the SAFC and not use it....then bypass it by jumping the wires past it....dont just unplug it. Right now for all intents and purposes you have an open short in your wireharness with however many wires go into your SAFC.

Come to think of it, you sure your SAFC is installed right? Did you get your car to run with it before the MAF and Chip swap?

Man set the SAFC to 2in 2out, and it should work. You can't just unplug it once its been wired in.

Yeah, static electricity can damage a mailed chip as I found out...they did send it to you in an antistatic bag right?

For the price you paid make sure you get a new chip (from them) to test out.

An anti static bag will be clearish plastic that is greyish in color and looks kinda metallic.
