That's not what I've read. Some can be undone quickly, others can take years. I don't know all of the ins and outs about procedure in that area, and the articles I read did not bother explaining them.

At this point I really don't care because they will eventually be rescinded regardless of the reasoning for their implementation. Anyone trying to do anything based on these regulations will spend millions and millions in court costs fighting environmentalist groups so it won't be worth their time. With all the "OMGBBQ BUSH THE HORRIBLE PUSHED THROUGH REGULATIONS THAT WILL KILL THE ENVIRONMENT" articles you can't find a single honest overview of the regulations that were pushed through. All you know is that they are horrible and Obama has them stopped for review.

Thus, it's not worth my time to do further research on the matter to determine what the context of "Farms to dump waste into nearby waterways" really means.

I'm not trying to stop discussion on the topic, just stating my opinion that it does not matter in the long run.

Well, absent knowledge of either the libbie loon or rightie wingnut persuasions, I'll go with preserving the environment over letting some rich dude make a couple extra bucks.

IMO, rules should handled by government agency analysts rather than a unilateral swipe of the pen.

I have no problem with being environmentally friendly. I'm sure part of the regulations were a major FU to the Dems as well. Life goes on and Obama will eventually overturn 90% of everything Bush did in office. It is what it is.
