To share your interests with and hang out with but at the same time, both members of the relationship should have their own opinions, interests, friends. No single person should be dependent on the other person but that other person should act as a catalyst for more individual growth. You can totally have a fully functional and worthwhile relationship while not having to depend on that person to feel fulfilled.Nathan wrote:whats the point of having a relationship if it isn't a "we/us" kind of thing? I just dont see the point, seems like a waste of time to me. Your stronger together than apart...thats my attitude.
Doesn't anyone else on the board feel this way?
Take for example my current relationship: I go to my classes and he goes to his. We get together for dinner or to study together a few nights a week. We each have our own sports that we play and hobbies but once in a while, we get together to throw a disc around and play p0ker. It's not all serious omg i love you, i need you to be there all the time type stuff.
