for the painted car panels try "goof off" or "goo gone" on a micro fiber rag. after wiping go behind it with the spray on detailer and hopefully it'll all come off. this happened to me when i went out to the track and it rained on the way home and the white shoe paint number flaked off down the rear quarter panel. did take some work, but it all came off without scratches.

try mcguires cleaner wax....if not then go to the clay bar....if that don work...then ur next option would be a light polishing compound...the kind that takes of oxidation...

Since you mentioned RainX, I assume this is mostly on your windshield. There's a product called Auto Glass Stripper by No Touch, it's a rubbing compound. Follow the directions on it and it should be able to strip off all that stuff off your glass, along with any buildup wax and RainX.

Side note: since you use RainX it's recommended you use this once everyone few intervals to remove the old RainX before applying a new coat.

Do NOT use goof off, it is petroleum based and will soften the clearcoat and expose your paint to the elements. GooGone, however, is citrus based and will not harm the clear or plastic bits of the car.

no its not a billboard but when your husband makes it home from a 13 month tour in iraq you want the whole world to know!!!!! but yeah even in the sun sometimes i can still see the lettering that was on there....like the residue or something. i will never again do it though.....i'll just leave the banners to the house, yard, and gates!!!

when i did mine it was only on the windows but when you go to take it off (which they make sound so easy!) it flakes all over the place! and ends up stuck on the paint....mine isnt that bad. just a few flakes here and there. i should actually call the specks! nothing that is too terribly bothering.well if it was on my a/c then we would have problems!
