Okay fellas,

I need to tackle this project in the next couple of weeks! What I have listed is what i believe that I will need to perform the swap.

-4 puck clutch kit-release bearings-alignment tool (already at the shop)-3" HKS downpipe-Apex'i N1 catback-300zx TT fuel filter-Walbro 255 fuel pump-some radiator hoses to mix and match USD radiator to SR20-Apex'i FMIC (if it comes in on time)-Manual trans fluid-Fresh synthetic motor oil (10w 30)-New oil pan-New slave cylinder

Now feel free to help me with the list or edit it. I do have one question though. The slave cylinder, will a new KA24 slave cylinder work or do I have to get that from a 300zx TT? Someone help me with this. Now keep in mind I am looking to just get the car running. I know some of the parts are HP producing aftermarket parts but I already sold the all of the KA24 parts. I do have the complete KA24 engine, transmission, ecu, and wiring harness still available but thats a whole nother thread.

Thanks yall....

Seth

What about engine, transmission, wiring harness, Igniter chip, ECU, MAF, etc. etc. Or are we supposed to guess what you already have?

just unbolt the ka slave from the bell housing and leave it hanging when you pull out the ka. it bolts to the sr bellhousing perfectly as its the same. by just onbolting the tow bolts, you don't have to bleed it or anything. one less thing to have to worry about.

The KA slave cylinder will work. Your list looks pretty good. You "may" need new motor mounts and can use new KA ones or one Nismo Mounts. Don't forget the iridium plugs, they are not necessary but add more spark to turbo apps. Also, I heard you should break the new engine in with regular oil for at least 500 miles before using synthetic fluids.

yea but its good to let all of the new parts mesh together and work nicely. i know a guy who put a gsr in a ls and drove it hard. many problems arose there on

The four puck clutch is very harsh I don't think you will need to go that far. I got the 6 puck and I know that will be probably the max I would go. You may need a high flow cat or test pipe. PS the release bearing and alignment tool come with the clutch. You should get a new oil pan if its dented but there is no need if its in good shape. Possibly new belts, check them. Get a lightened flywheel or have your flywheel resurfaced.

Is your KA a single cam or dual cam?

And where are you located?

Well Duhhh! You're selling your KA harness, or so you said, so what do you intend to do for wiring harness? The KA hanness is required by Heavy Throttle to modify the SR harness to fit you car.

DUUHHH!

True but not necessary! Yeah sure pay the $300 to save you an hour and a half of electrical work, or rewire yourself since your buddy has done it and has a wiring diagram. Hmmm....you choose.

cheers :)

I need a buddy like yours :)

My local SR'd buddy is not gonna be able to help me with the wiring as he has an SDS stand alone. Is there a place I can find the diagram or can you e-mail it to me or something? I am good with wires as I used to be a car stereo installer and a bench technitian at a local Computer remanufacturing place.

Solder is my friend :)

I did choose, I did it myself. My initial point was if you don't give us complete information how do you expect help?

Well you have a buddy who can do your harness and you've got all sorts of advice on your slave cylinder. Sounds like you're an expert anyway, so I'm sure you won't run into any other problems.

Good luck.

No I'm not an expert by all means! I just read as much as I can about this stuff. And I wouldn''t have posted if I still didn't want to learn. Yeah my buddy is going to supply me with the diagram but if I fudge up then looks like I'll have to drive 4 hours for him to fix it. So I'm still asking because I am a "virgin" still at this :)

Cyberkreig and Ace thanks for the feedback on the clutch. I think I'll just go with which ever one is available. 240 is going to be a track whore so streetablity comforts ar out the window, literally :D

Anyway if you guys think that my list is fairly complete then looks like the swap will soon take place very shortly.
