Guys, I got this email today, can anyone help him out?

We have a 1990 300ZX (NA w/automatic trans.), a 1990 300ZX (twin turbo w/manual trans.) and a 1993 Infiniti Q45. All have a couple of bad injectors. The ones in the NA 300 ZX are blue dot and the ones in the TT are black dot. What would possible problems be if we replaced all of the injectors in the TT with new and put the good used ones in the NA? (Mixedcolors.) We are not looking for higher HP or performance but want it to run decent.

Another option (other than buying all new for both) would be to replace the bad with similar color injectors, either OEM or another brand. Can the new Bosch be mixed with the original without problems. The Infiniti injectors have no color on them. Can we replace the bad ones with Bosch without any problems?

Thanks,John Parker

Dont mix injectors at all. Buy good used sets or in my opinion replace all of them with new. If you are going to go through the trouble to take off the upper intakes on both 300's you might as well change injectors and seals with all new. All three of those cars have different size injectors so mix matching would not work. It is always better to replace in sets. Good Luck.

The TT and Q are the same flow rate the the NA 300 are 30% less and would overwhelm the NA engine. 370cc vs 258?cc

The N/A Z32 are the 270s....

The Q and Z32tt are compatible... However i wouldnt mix n match the old/new style... IF your gonna switch, do em all!!
