It's kindof funny. I started looking for a sports car about 2 years ago. I layed out some requirements for the car. I wanted a "classic style" sports car, meaning Rear Wheel drive. However, I decided that where the engine was didn't matter quite as much (I would have gone with a rear engine car). It also should be lightweight. Also since I am in college it should be dependable, cheap on gas/insurance, and should have a low asking price. Cheap on gas dictated that it should be a 4 cylinder.
Rear Wheel drive, 4 cylinder, lightweight, relatively inexpensive, reliable. The list of cars that fit through that filter was very short. My choice 2years ago was Toyota MR2 or Nissan 240SX.
Saving up for my car took longer than I thought due to occasional setbacks. When I was finally ready to buy this summer, the "bandwagon" effect was in full swing. Made things abit tougher than I thought it would be, but I got mine
