Geez, I've had people at gas stations and such compliment me on my car and ask if I want to sell it. Now, some guy stops by my house and asks if I'll sell it. I guess he has seen the car around, maybe passed by my house and decided to drop in. Kinda crazy. $10,000 might get my interest. Anyone ever have this happen?? lol I know when I had my GN, people were always trying to buy it, but they never stopped at my house!!

lol or the fact not as many 240's were made as many people think. Also they might think asking in person they can get a better deal then on autotrader.

Happened when my brother's car was freshly painted... some guy in a truck. The mail man has also taken quite an interest on his car for some reason. I get no love...

Meh, I like it better that way...'cuz I don't feel bad saying no.

The guy at the local AutoZone tries to buy it everytime I go in there. Makes me feel good to I will have no problem selling this car...when I do sell it. Who knows when that will be, haha, maybe in about a week when the '05 Mustang arrives at one of the local dealerships. But, I don't really want a big car payment..lol.

at school the other day i got a note left on my car asking if i was going to sell it. i called him back just to see what he wanted to do with the car, ie if he was a bandwagon hopper.

anyway, he wanted it 'for fun' and to drop in an 'sr'. i of course told him no... took me forever to find this 240. i told him about 2 other 240s ive seen in the parking lot at school. one black coupe with an s13 front end and a blue hatch with meshies. he then told me he knew both of them and all three of them were in the honda pact (kinda of a trade school thing where you go to school for 2 years then you can work at a dealership). but yeah, that was weird.

I was getting offers left and right for my total POS 1980 Toyota Corolla SR5, presumably so people could yank the 3TC and put it in an AE86.

The S14 gets offers all the time, I actually have gotten as high as $10k, but then again, I did pay $9800 for the thing, lol.

yeah its amazing how quick these things go... I used to get offers on my other S13 every once in a while, or at least compliments and stuff.

It's really weird cause its not really a car that youd think would attract alot of attention, especially the S13... ahhh who am I kidding, it attracted my attention didnt it?

yeah well nobody has been complimenting my present S13 just yet... its still under the knife-- but you just wait!

when i had the s13 silvia conversion, nobody ever notice my car until, "you guess it", the who bandwagon ordeal boom and all of a sudden these same people who use to think "what's that weird looking car" now know what the car is and called me the "sileighty dude". that's when i decide to get rid of my front end and go back to stock. believe it or not, i'm getting offer for this 240sx in stock form and not in the silvia conversion form. but i'm getting more offer for my FC T2, since it's just park dead in my front yard collecting dust.

It's kindof funny. I started looking for a sports car about 2 years ago. I layed out some requirements for the car. I wanted a "classic style" sports car, meaning Rear Wheel drive. However, I decided that where the engine was didn't matter quite as much (I would have gone with a rear engine car). It also should be lightweight. Also since I am in college it should be dependable, cheap on gas/insurance, and should have a low asking price. Cheap on gas dictated that it should be a 4 cylinder.

Rear Wheel drive, 4 cylinder, lightweight, relatively inexpensive, reliable. The list of cars that fit through that filter was very short. My choice 2years ago was Toyota MR2 or Nissan 240SX.

Saving up for my car took longer than I thought due to occasional setbacks. When I was finally ready to buy this summer, the "bandwagon" effect was in full swing. Made things abit tougher than I thought it would be, but I got mine

I just sold the WRX actually, $20,000 even.

Details:

2004 Aspen White (rare color) 5spdAll-black interior (like all 2k4s)10500 miles, perfect condition, OEM painted sideskirts.

I actually drove 2.5 hrs to deliver him the car, sort of a last chance to go balls-to-the-wall in a car I was about to lose. All in all though, I'm glad I switched, RWD is fun and the insurance/payments on the S14 are WAY lower.

Oh, and Zombieman, my roommate has a dark blue '91 T2 that gets LOTS of buy offers. We currently have that and a black '93 FD3S in front of the house, and in true RX-7 fashion, neither of them run.

I've had guys chase down my car when my sister took it out to Cal State San Bernardino to pick up some books for school and then went back to Crafton Hills for classes a couple months ago at night. The guys chased her all the way to Crafton and told her she had a sweet ride and if she was selling it. Of course she called and ask and of course the answer was no.

*sigh.. doesn't happen to me.

it would be nice if it did. But it's pretty much economically useless if I don't get $2,050 for my hatch.

but nobody's going to buy a single cam '90 white fastback with 160K for $2050.

(the reason it would be nice is because i bought this car while waiting for a red '89 fastback SE, with front lip and wheels.. the original owner of that one said he would let me have it for $1200. 180K miles but in much better condition. sucks for me )

Maybe if i finish claybarring and waxing the rest of the body lol.

man...many experiences, I almost feel like I should start re-importing the cars back from Mexico and make a profit while at it.... But then again I live in El Paso TX, and I don't think anyone (aside from the dallas/austin) guys, would make the drive...

okay, someone sell me their 240 for cheap (and I mean cheap) LOLif I had the money I'd buy all of ur silvia's I'd buy em all and sell em to bandwaggoners and I'd be RICH!

I think there is ONE FD over here. It's red, I saw it two days parked in a yard and then it dissapeared...I remember the good ole' days when evolutions were like that FD...

youknow, there was this one full carbon fiber FC that terrorized the tracks over here...that thing was nuts, our track was just to small for it...so it disappeared to
