Hmm, well without insulation especially in the headliner, one would think yes. But it might be negligible and dependent on the weather (obviously). Do you have a/c?

i think he's referring more to heat from the engine and transmission. op, it's going to be hotter. and it's never too late to go back.

i was referring more to the lack of insulation but yes that too. i love the way it looks gutted though. it looks more mechanical and looks how it's going to be built.

I enjoy my gutted DD/drift car. But to each there own.

But make sure there is a heat sheild between ur exhaust and where your feet are. I have seen melted shoes to the metal floor.

i actually did that in my previous 240 where the seats to the trunk was gutted but while some friends had all interior and some had gutted i started to fall in love with the gutted. i think i'm just gonna wear a speedo and flip flops in the summer and have a thermal blanket for the winter :dblthumb: :chuckle:

I've melted two pairs of shoes, too. :)

Gutted is just really loud... kinda turns your car into an echo chamber.

Temp control is the same deal as when operating with a full-interior. Doesn't get hot in my car unless ambient temps are hot.

Now, running at the track in Phoenix in my nomex suit and safety gear... furnace-status.

Insulation reflects heat and noise. Keep the interior. Gutting the interior makes no difference in times that you will see anyway. Hundreds of pounds would need to be removed in order to have a faster car. Be .00001 seconds faster or not hear every pebble on the ground and not be as hot. Hmm

i already did. i realize i can go back but i do like the way it looks. it looks more mechanical and i like how it looks what i'm building it for. yea it's a DD but i can always use my wife's xterra. idk i guess it's hard to explain but my interior sucked and had duct tape covering up sections and it just looked like crap. i like the way the gutted looks but if i go back i'm going to get better interior. it'd be awesome to steal omgshawn's idea with the suede
