Guru engine Id help needed

Hello all. I've been a long time lurker-first time poster. I'm active on other Nissan truck forums.

Here's the situation, while buying an engine for my Bobbed 1995 Hardbody 4x4, I was mistakenly sent what I believe to be an s13 ka24de. I'm mobilized away from home; and the shop is unable to identify the engine. Supposedly, it is a nearly brandnew nismo engine. 397 308 W (not sure of the spacing) is stamped on the block. Please help me id this motor! Year and model it came out of. I don't even know what accessories fit! I do know the swap is not as easy as you'd think it would be. Blah, Blah... But please, Help me at least id this block!

To my knowledge, anything nismo edition back then didnt have any variants in the engine. Check on the back of the block where the trans bolts up near the exhaust mani for the block code to see if it even is a ka motor.

It also says ka24... It has de. So, Ka24de for sure... Just not sure which one!

What distributor does it have?

I'm not sure. I'm at Fort Sill, Oklahoma... The truck and engine are in Chattanooga, TN.

If it has an internal coil, its a 95-98 s14 ka. External coil its 91-94.

I can say that it has a splined crankshaft pulley for serpentine.

that doesn't sound right at all. The easiest way to tell difference from s13 and s14 motor is one thing considering the distributor isn't in. First off the blocks are the same between s13 and s14 DE motors not so sure about the single slammer. Easiest way is the middle bolt on the back of the head for the Valve Cover there is 3 on the back of a s14 where as the s13 has two. Pics would help though if you could get one.

thats just for a ribbed belt, and there should be more than one, or the motor was stripped down to just run an alternator.
