go cheaper.

I'd suggest a Ruger MKIII or 45/22 for what you're looking for.

.22 Long Rifle handguns..cheap to shoot and accurate.

for either you'd pay around 400 depending on finish and features.

I have a few 22 LR all of the non competion ones jam. But yeah you want something you can afford to shoot. .22 is good for that you can get 550 rounds for 10 bucks or less. I target shoot my 9mm most of the time. I love my .45ACP's but cant afford to shoot them for fun

Are there any cheap 9mm para pistols that are DA/SA?

There's always the CZ-75. Fairly inexpensive, but surprisingly good quality.

(not mine)

Smith and Wesson model 910. I have one, it was my first 9MM, things awesome. The MSRP is like 650 but you can pick one up for about $440

Its SA/DA, and can accept the 15 round mag. Iv put about 7000 rounds through mine, no jams, or misfires, always accurate, life time warrenty, quality piece from a good arms maker.

Hmmmm.. Yeah, I think I should probably get a .22 to start.. easier to shoot too, right? (I know very little about guns, since I'm more into archery at present).

Those entry S&W .22 pistols.. are they.. decent enough? The price is quite surprising..

should be.

Smith and Wesson's quality has been spot on for some time now.

I'd suggest going to a store and handling some of them...find the one that's most like pointing your finger naturally.

Yeah im with Murder there. But S&W for the money you can go wrong for a first gun. They shoot great, are accurate, life time warranty, built with quality.

Not a Russian capture. I don't own anything the dirty Russians build or touch.

It's an import so the Eagles are ground, but it's an original German Mauser. It's a BGY marked '42' model, really nice bore, and original furniture.

Without gun owning Americans there would be no "country", so please stay in your little country and keep your unwanted socialist opinions to yourself. When your country grows a pair and can defend itself maybe your opinion will count for something, until then shush or the NRA is going to invade your country.

violence has NOTHING to do with the weapons available.

Case in point, Switzerland has one of the lowest crime rates in Europe, yet has 600,000 fully automatic rifles that are issued to its citizen soldiers. Yes they take them home with them, they carry them openly to the public shooting ranges and its not uncommon to go into a grocery store and see a SIG 550 strapped to someone's back. No one freaks out, which less than I can say for this country that freaks out when you are carrying a pistol.

I just realized that you aren't that far from me (65 miles). Do you ever make it out to Mica Peak shooting range outside of Spokane?

Shot a Glock 17 today at the range. I have to admit, it was pretty damn fun to shoot. I'd never fired a Glock before, and I think it's probably off my list based on other factors, mainly not wanting 'Safe action' for a carry pistol, but that thing felt great.

I also finally got to shoot the compact USP9. Don't like it as much as the full size, though I was significantly more accurate with that than the Glock.

Interesting side note: two of the freshman football players on UofM's team were there at the range getting a 'first time shooter' introduction lesson. We left at closing but the guys let them stay and 'increase your rate of fire a bit... just go crazy'.

i wish that was my collection. they are all my friends guns. there is also some kind of carbine in there but its not really his, he just put it together for some guy. ill ask how much he has spent total. he also does WW2 reenactments. kinda wierd but cool too. thats why he has the blank fire adapter on the M1. btw, the blanks cost almost as much as the real bullets. no telling how much hes spent on all the WW2 stuff he has. uniform, pack, helmet, cot, folding shovel, etc...)

i didnt take pics of the modern guns though. he has a springfield XD and his wife has an AR15 w/ red dot on it. sounds like a bb-gun compared to the m1 and mossin.

I love that Garand.

The revolver is a Russian Nagant pistol. It can shoot 32s&w if you can't find the russian ammo (super expensive).

those are really neat little pistols really....

one of maybe a handful of revolvers that can be effectively suppressed.

Bingo.

Very unique design that hasn't been attempted on a large scale ever since that revolver.

Its fun to watch. You pull the trigger and the cylinder slides forward.

I just wish they had commonly available ammo.
