Hows everybody doin? I have decided that in June, I will buy a G35 Sedan. It was a toss up between that, an Audi S4, a 350z, and a RX-8. I want a sedan because they are not only cheaper, but everyone has a coupe in San Diego.

Anyway, I would like to to know how much to expect for a sedan with less than 80K miles. I really want to do the whole lowering kit with coilovers, sway bar, strut support, etc. the whole package. I was thinkin it will be anywhere from $1-2k. I dont want the best of the best suspension. Just somethin to make it handle a little better. I was lookin at the Tokico D-Spec coilovers. are these decent?

Also we are sponsered by Konig and i get any rims for 1/4 the price anyone else will pay. All i have to do is slap 4 stickers on each corner of the car. no Prob! I was thinkin the Runaways. the color rim depends on what color G35 I buy. But what is a good size for these? I have always liked the rear tires bigger and wider. I was thinkin 18.5 in rear and 17.5 or 18 in front. What dimensions can I run to clear the calipers and wheel wells. especially after a 1.0"+ drop?

Any help would be great. Thank You

Bump...

It depends on what year sedan you get...

How much you wanna spend? you can get a 03 for about 10k

yeah It doesnt matter what year. 10K sounds about right. then that gives me about 4-5 grand to spend on aftermarket stuff. susoension, exaust, intake, tint. etc.

I've heard that 03 models have more problems than the newer ones, plus 2003 was the first year infiniti made the G, thus the next couple of years were "enhancements".

I got a 2005 G35x in August of 2008, and so far, so good, more than satisfied.

In terms of maintanence items, nothing really stands out for the G compared to any other foreign car, just your typical wear n' tear items, of course, pending on your driving style.

There are many differences in the sedan depending on the year. I would recommend you buy a newer one and wait for some mods. The 05-06 are the best (IMO) as far as looks and enhancements. The 07 is a complete redesign, but very sharp...it will cost more than 03-06 for this reason alone.

Do your research and you'll come up with a good car.

Check my sig for the G-series FAQ which has a link to the changes through the model years.

Ha agree'd. I always like the newer cars better. Part of my expensive tastes for my empty pockets. But I gotta keep the project under 14K. I was thinkin about picking one up for about 10-11K and that gives me about $3000 to play with. Ive decided that i dont really need the sway bars, chamber plates, the control arms... the works. just some coilovers will do I believe. I just want to drop it down to a height where it looks sporty, more of a sports car than the luxury car look. thats the only way I can explain it. lol maybe a 1"-2" drop? does anyone know the stock ride hieght?

what do you think this car has been dropped to? I like this look

Thanks for all your help Guys
