But one thing, on 4 of the intake valves, there is gunk covering them. It is weird because the 4 "low rpm" valves that are always being used are squeaky clean, there is not a spec of dirt on them, but the 4 valves that are given air from the 4 plates that are activated from the actuator are covered in gunk. I cant see all the way down to the head of the valve because I have not taken the head off the block yet, but as far as I can see, they are covered. Why are only these 4 valves covered, is it because they aren't always being used? Has anyone else had this problem? Please inform me if this is a problem for many CA owners. Thanks.
The injectors on jdm heads are offset to one side so only one valve per cylinder gets a spray of fuel, thats why one is clean and the other just collects crankcase gunk, its normal.
If you clean them off then vent the breather system to atmos then it wont happen again, and ditching the breather recirc helps prevent detting anyway.
