So who's playing this?

I got my kids this game and an extra guitar (The Hammer) as a small (Daddy got his annual bonus) prize.

I've never played, but soooooo many people I talk to enjoy it.

A few of my friends have the Guitar Hero games.I'm horrible at both games, mainly because I actually play the guitar. Guitar Hero is totally different, and I have to fight my guitar-player instincts.

It's still fun to mess around with, though. And it's even more fun to watch.

I was a big fan of one of Harmonix (Guitar Hero developers) older games, "Amplitude," that used a regular PS2 controller. You could make your own "remixes" which added a lot to the game.

I didn't know there was a gaming forum? Oh well, I will be buying it once it comes out on the 360. I'm a huge fan of the PS versions but despise Sony so I'll be getting it soon.

We've created a few "dedicated" sub-forums to help organize some of the "General Discussions" if you will.

You're one of th efirst ever (non-Mod/Admin) to post in any of them .

Enjoy from the NICO Mod/Admin team to you.

Nah. This is not a replacement for Gen Chat. This is just an enhancement for NICO in certain categories that are usually not addressed here.

Yeah I play it pretty regularly at a friends house. Im pretty good, which means that I can play all of the songs on hard, and some on expert.

My friend who owns the game can play All that Remains - "Six" on expert. Which is INSANE. try it and youll see what I mean.

Dude Guitar Hero is the THANG at my college dorm. I was hesitant to play this, but its really addicting way to break the tension when doing homework by listening to music along with the fun of playing with it.

Since I started late I still get owned by everyone else that plays it in my hallway, but my previous DDR skills helped me catch up pretty fast. Everyone pretty much plays on Expert (except for Freebird and some other bonus songs) along w/ me and we're always trying to break the top score, really addicting. Great game.

I have a lot of friends who are absolutely addicted to this game. It's pretty upsetting being a real guitarist and getting beat in a guitar game by people who have never laid hands on the real instrument. But then I jam out to the REAL Cowboys From Hell, and it makes me feel better

For the record, Dimebag Darrell's sound is hard to duplicate on guitar.

picked this up yesterday for my 360, i only like a few of the songs, most of the others i have never heard of, or dont like in general. I think the first one had better songs, but i heard that the original songs can be downloaded via xbox live, so thats cool.

My favorite moment was when you get done playing tonight im gonna rock you tonight from spinal tap and the drummer disappears, you gotta know the movie to get the joke though.

My buddies and I play it; I don't play it as much because I find playing real guitar more enjoyable, BUT

It is a fun game. OH OH OH and the XBOX 360 version has MAIDEN's The trooper FTW

Amplitude is awesome. I must have played freeze pop like 600 times lols.

yeah, getting 5 stars on hard is pretty hard, but i cant figure out what gives you 5 stars, i mean i can get 96 percent on a song, and get 4 stars, but then i get like 91 percent on another song and get 5 no problem. So i thought it was the score, so i get like over 200k on madhouse on hard with 98 percent and get 4 stars still!!!
