I shouldnt but I sort of feel the same way, a lot of bands in there kids have no idea about then they hear it in Guitar Hero and all the sudden its the best band. And then they run around asking everyone else if they've ever heard said band, while everyone who actually listens to music other than whats on MTV has known about them for years as has formed their opinions. Believe it or not kids, Through the Fire and Flames is not guitar mastery. Try looking outside of TV and video games for musical influence.

Were I gaming moderator, I'd make it a ban-able offense to come in Guitar Hero threads trolling just because you think you are superior because you play an actual guitar. You guys might be my e-friends but it's seriously immature and old. If you neither own, nor play guitar Hero, there is no reason for you to be in this thread just the same as there is no reason for you to be in RWD SR when you neither own nor have worked on a RWD SR. Same principles apply. If you hate Guitar Hero, that makes all the more reason for you NOT to post in this thread.

If thats the case, then most people in the SR forum should be banned. Actually, most people on the site should be banned. I never said anything about being superior over people, I am not an elitist. As a guitarist it makes no sense for me to practice on this game when I can better myself on an actual guitar. For anyone who has no desire to learn guitar (which is odd given the game) then go ahead and play it. I have no gripe against people who play the game, I only have a gripe about the MTV kids who think they know the whole world of music then play the game and think they are privy to some new band that nobody knows. I would feel the same way even if I didn't play guitar because I am a huge music nut. Most people do not fall under this category, and I'm not accusing anybody of being like this except some kids I know in my personal life. I dont expect everyone to know who Dragonforce or Shadows Fall or Protest the Hero are, but its ridiculous when these kids listen to one song from a band and all of the sudden they act like the bands biggest fan. It's also pretty annoying to search for videos of a song and only be able to find someone playing the damn thing in GH. It happens with a lot of songs since people can make custom tracks.

Anyways, I dont usually post in these threads but I saw something that piqued my interest so I posted my two cents. Forums are all about posting opinions anyway. It would help if there werent so many threads about GH in every forum, but that will happen with every subject. I defend my position but want to make sure it doesnt come off as elitist or condescending. I could care less about what other people do with their free time. If the game helps to broaden people's musical horizons, then cool, I'm glad. The game has gotten more popular than doing the real thing, so maybe I AM biased.

And Ryon, you know I love you dude, because if I didn't you can rest assured I wouldn't talk to you. The **** I say to you about GH is mostly in jest as I'm sure you know. It's part opinion but mostly busting your balls. And its a good thing you're not a mod, because I'm sure most of the forum wouldnt be here
