*Disclaimer* - I am not liable for anything you do to your car. This is just a basic walk-through.
What does this do?
This will allow you to change settings in your car that typically require you to be parked, this will allow you to enter addresses into the GPS while moving, this will also allow you to play the DVD's image while driving. Your radio will now think your always parked with your e brake on.
Tools Needed:
- 18-22 gauge wire (I used 18, but 22 is closer to OEM)
- Wire Crimper (What I used)
- Wire Stripper (What I used)
- Wire Cutter (What I used)
- Ring Terminal (not what I used, I went to my local ma/pa hardware store and got the same thing but by another brand)
- Crimp Terminal (or any other type of crimp/method) (What I used)
- star head/philips screwdriver (for screw removal of radio)
- Plastic trim removal kit or flat head screw driver (What I used)
Step One:
Follow this amazing guide and also refer to this amazing YouTube video as well, and stop once you have all of the faceplates off and come back here (everything below the clock/vents). I had to go back and forth between the guide and the video to get mine apart without breaking anything.
Step Two:
Remove the four circled screws, starting with the bottom two (the screws are what's holding the radio in place), and slide the radio out.

Step Three:
Carefully remove the circled wire harness/connector

Step Four:
Bend the harness backward so it's visible, like in the picture. So the pull tab is facing up.

Step Five:
Refer to the following two images and cut wires 65 and 82. Be sure to cut these wires far enough back so you have room to strip and crimp the wire. I had to violently bend the back wrapping around the wire back and hold it back while I cut the wires, then I pulled the wrapping back as it was. Optionally, you can apply a little bit of electrical tape on the ends of the wires that are going into the car.

Step Six:
Take that 18-22 ga wire you bought and cut enough for you to run it from the harness to one of the four screws you removed. I cut about 12 inches, and that was a tad bit too much, but it works fine. You'll also need to strip both sides of the wire and crimp a ring terminal to one end of your choice, and save the other end for step seven.
Step Seven:
Crimp wire 65 (purple) to the other end of that wire you cut in step six, like in the picture below.

Step Eight:
Start putting everything back together, but remember to run that ground wire to one of the four screws, I chose the bottom right.

Extra bit: Maybe I missed this when I was following the guides on the radio teardown, but getting the main center console (gear shifter) back in place was a pain in my butt. It became a challenge because I wasn't aware that the actual gear shifter has a specific hole it has to go into in order for it to display P R N D on the center console, failing to get it in the right hole will result in you not being able to shift into P or not shift into D unless you break something if you force it to shift. This happened to me, but thankfully, I didn't break anything.
