I should be done with this partial headache tomorrow and then I hope it's owner enjoy it. It should be a blast to drive and I would've love to take it for a test drive, but one of the soft lines on the fuel rail ruptured, so I have to call it a night.

More pics to follow when the car is delivered and I get paid .

among other things, i see two sneakers and an ac compressor that's still attached.

that turbo also seems a little big for a stock maf, but i don't know much.

congrats on getting your car back soon

and the question remains....isnt that setup too much for the CA maf? How much boost are you running at...

Is the turbo too big for the MAF? Yes and No! Keep it under 12psi and enjoy what you got, but if he really wants to take advantage of the upgrades, there must be a change. But for right now, I think that after not driving his car for a bunch of weeks, he'll be content for now until his funds get replinshed. Another tip for you younger guys and newbies that are using the stock system and are having cranking and driveability issues, the crank angle sensor can indeed fail without flashing a code through the ecu. Import and I found this out the hard way as his car cut-out after about a mile of abusive driving and we had to push it back to my house. I checked the computer and code 55 was displayed, but knowing that I set the timing belt correctly and had just adjusted his ignition timing before we started driving prompted me to immediately remove trhe crank angle sensor and replace with one of my own and away he went!

P.S. his car is currently running 18psi of boost. His boost controller's dip switches need to be adjusted to compensate for the external wastegate as opposed to the internal wastegate. And don't worry, he knows not to try and sustain W.O.T. with his car seeing that much boost; it will be fatal for his engine.

Thanks for the good reply. I've got almost his same setup, plus a few more items, but on a budget at the moment. I was going to throw some money at a z32 maf to finally get the car running, bc I thought the maf would max out at pretty low boost. So I really appreciate the response.

I went for a drive in Ryan's(Import Is Life) "mean machine", it's response is very impressive, just remember like I was told...."With great power comes great responsibility". Can't wait to get my lil incredible hulk movin again, it will be nice to see all of the Big Ca's heading out to the track in one line!!

Unless you're doing your own mods to the manifold, you will pay to have it's issues corrected. And besides that, it haven't been in service long, so let's see how she holds up. And BTW, the manifold does have its issues like I stated before. Of the 4 lower manifold nuts, only one can be tightend. So what I did was tightened the crap out of all the others and hoped that it didn't leak to bad for Imports sake. So far so good. As for CAs in south florida, the one in my sentra performs like a demon. Hopefully I can get Import's and Overboosted's CA powered cars to get some serious power. I can say stay tuned for Overboosted's project which is now in front of my garage prepared for some serious work. I'll give you guys a hint, his goal is 450whp and I've been dispatched to make this happen the way I know how to . If you've never been in a B12 sentra with a CA18DET in it and geared and set up the way mine is, then you don't know what fun you're missing .

Well until Overboostin's car is done, my CA will become the neighborhood street bully. I still have to wait about 150 more miles, before I can run down one of these punk *** SRT4's. When I unlease the beast I'll post some vids.

You dont have to spend the money on a N62 (300zx) maf, you can go with a cheaper N60 (Maxima VQ or RB20 motor) maf and get good results as well...

Both maf's have the same dimensions so the n60 maf is a good upgrade for a start, but its only good for 295-330hp depending on who you talk to
