Guess who's Birthday Party I Went to Today

I knew this legend lived in the area and is friends with a friend of mine but I never thought our paths would cross...till this morning. I shared a birthday cake with the Brock Yates for his 79th BD.

Brock is a really nice guy and I was the only one to bring him a card LOL, the other guys were breaking my balls about why I didn't forge their names on the card too. Those of you who aren't familiar with Brock should look him up on Google for more info. Check out Cannonball Run while you are at it.

It's funny that all this has happened in the order it has because just last night I helped list Riter's Cannonball Datsun 510 on Claz.org. This 510 just happens to have Brocks 360 from his Cannonball Challenger in it so the irony is knee deep in this house.

I enjoy reading his articles and books. Yates is a huge part of what I miss from the Good Old Days of Car and Driver.
