As the title states, they are not the same, almost but not. same diameter, same width but not same offset!!!!!!

When did I discover this, after I bought one on Ebay? No.

After I received the wheel? No.

After I cleaned and inspected it? No.

No, I discovered this right after I got home from a full alignment and high speed balance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I the first to discover this?

if you compare the offsets of maxima wheels in general and Q wheels you may know that...

The Q wheels were probably around 35, the I wheels around ?42?

also usually the Q uses, say a 17x8 when the I30 uses a 17x7.5

No, FGY33 are 17x7.5, but I think the Maxima are 17x6.5. But I don't know caca about Maximas except they are V6 FWD.

Anyway, I am one of those guys who shudder at the thought of wheels designed for a smaller car installed on a heavier car unless one knows they are strong enough.

IIRC, the Q wheel is 17x7.5 +35, and the I is 17x7 +40, but that's just off the top of my head.
