I'm pretty sure there are laws against minors that young working. You know with being in either 5th or 6th grade...the youngest I know that you can get hired is 15yrs old at Publix as a grocery bag boy....unless you saved your allowance? But then you would have bought the car with mommy and daddy's money technically.

I am confused?

i worked for m parent renovating houses sheet-rock spacial cabinets electrical ect before 11. At 11 I worked during the summer for my moms boss at a real estate putting up for sale signs and cleaning up the houses. Did that when i was 12 too. Then at 13 yes i was an illegal worker. I worked at carvel summer and after school. Then when I was around 14 I got my workin papers and worked at a local restaurant making salads and cold aps. I watched the head chef when I finished what I was making picked up some skills and became a line cook at 15. At about 15 and a half I found some where that paid $10 an hour as a bus boy I did that for 2 months then was asked if i wanted to work the kitchen and I am still there working at a golf course catering hall doing parties for 250+ people. Thats how I paid for my Z.

And slider I have never had a allowance.

well said. i HATE when people brag about how expensive their big $$$ possessions are. such as cars, houses, etc. talk about that to family and those who are close, or maybe about the nissans on here, but not in a bragging way. i don't like stuck up people. i mean, who cares how much it costs? a cool car is a cool car. you can get a POS 240 for $1000 and work on it and it'll be awesome, doesn't have to be expensive! ugh.

Never said that I didn't believe you didn't smoke or drink or do drugs....I never did that. All I'm saying is is that there are laws against half the things you say you did. And I doubt people who are running a business would be willing to risk putting you on the books and get in trouble. That means that anything before you were 14 was under the table if it happened, and only a family friend would do that. That's the same as allowance. Second the average age of a line cook is 30, has 5.7 years of experience, and normally has a culinary degree....at least according to the 3 or 4 restaurant owners I know and google.....but hey what do they know.

But like I said more power to you, you got a really nice car for your first car and didn't have to pay any dues. Enjoy it.

Hey "Little Richcie" just an adive from your fellow Z ownwer. I hope you don't let this car go to your head. From the way you act in our Forum you are very childish. I hope in real life you are a little bit more mature. If you show of to the wrong person....they will leave you with a lasting impression if you know what I mean.

Agreed. I care if I'm acting like a stuck up douchebag and most everyone on this forum are respectable guys who, while maybe having an attitude, want the best for you. Most people on this forum are super knowledgeable and if you don't act like a prick would be more than willing to help you out in any way shape or form. I don't want to alienate cool people so I don't say things like....well I'm 22 so I bet I'm the youngest male owner with an 08 blue G sedan and oh yeah I paid 32k for my car not 30 get it right *****.

/done with childishness

It was just at 35 sticker. I was out like $34,5xx after tax, tag transfer and all that jazz.

It's an 08 Journey with sunroof, came with the mudflaps, locking lugs, cargo net, floor mats, and "dealer added pinstripe." If you go used I got a local Acura dealer to go down to 27 and some change for an 07 Journey with the premium and nav, but it had like 30k miles or so.

If you keep telling people unbelievable things like this, i can't help you... honestly though, what abilities could you have at 11 for skilled trades? Are you the spawn of Bob Villa? And i have said many times before DO NOT DISCUSS YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION ON THIS FORUM AND THEY WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE..... so if you get flamed your on your own...And for the record, i have a crappy used 04, how out dated... but what really matters is i paid more than 10,000 less for mine after mods, than you and mines faster!!!!

um i helped my dad u assclown. my dad would put it on the ceiling and i would put the 2x4 jig thing under it to hold it up. and walls were easier. u should really use ur head sometimes and im sorry u work for a contractor and its hard for u to hang sheet-rock maybe if u keep workin for him he will show u some tricks to make it easier. oh i know how to lay tile and grout to and frame. plumbing and electrical too. Today i helped my friend rip out the 7m from his supra he put big holes in the block and hes gonna sell his cougar and buy another supra with 380rwhp and we are gonna do a transmission swap from a 5spd auto to a 6spd. u know how hard that is for to 17 year old kids.

No need to call names richie.

Also it's not a 2x4 jig unless hes poor, you use a sheetrock lift, it's made of metal and you corkscrew a metal bit and it raises up the sheetrock.

I too knew how to tile and grout (goes along with knowing how to tile), and do plubing and electrical work, and make and raise walls, and do any sort of landscaping possible.....it's called being a man.

WTF does the Supra crap have to do with any of the questions posed about your "work experience"

Also, a cougar could never cover the cost of a Supra that is any way modified, even if the Supra isn't modified I don't see it, unless it's a crappy MKIII that I see all riced out and driving around Palm Beach all the time.

And FYI, a transmission swap / pulling an engine is pretty easy........you know.......if you aren't a girl

My friend has the shell and rolling chassis of another 89 supra it has a blow engine we took that out. transmission is still good 5speed stick so we are using that as a doner car. It has some really good parts on it. And tomorrow another day at the junkyard maybe i will find a z and see if i can salvage some parts for "Dasoupdude".

There was no 6 speed MKIII Supra. To put in a 6 speed you'll need the Getrag V16x from the MKIV. Those go for between $1900.00 - $3000.00 because every cool kid want's one. If memory serves me right the bell housing bolt pattern should be the same, but I'm not 100% sure. If you're doing anything under say 500 bhp, then you'll be fine with the R154, just don't beat on first gear, or buy one of the $50.00 rebuild kits to strengthen up 1st gear.

I dunno, usually a misguided air vent dosen't cause a sudden drop in power.

And all these "defects" are little things. I just wish a junkyard with 350s was nearby. I'm in need of a driver side weather strip.
