Hello guys, ive almost finished building my engine for the 3rd time now..
hoping to put it on the dyno within a month or so..

how much do you guys think i can push out of this setup on e85?

Vipec v44 ecu
gt2871r ar86 (t25 type)
tial 44 ex. wg (screamerpipe)
adjustable camgears
tomei 8.8 260 camshafts
tomei valvesprings
CP 9.5:1 pistons
k1 rods
mercury coils
ID 1000cc injectors
bigger plenum

Image

i got 440whp on a chip last year without the cams, ext wg, smaller injectors and stock plenum @ 23psi/1,6bar
i will probably run around 27-29psi this time. hoping to cross the 500 limit, but im a little afraid that the turbo wont flow enough.

any thauts?

regards. Patrick from norway

Mercy me, that looks awesome! I am going to guess 487whp. Your turbo is definitely going to limit you. That compressor is only good for about 44lbs/min maximum. You will certainly be making the most power I have ever seen from that turbo.

440 to 460 whp is totally normal with flexichip on that turbo, and that is only on 1.6-1.7 bar.
I know of several people who run 2 bar,but i have never seen a dynosheet on that boost level so this could be exciting.

WOW!

Amazing work!!! That is a pretty motor!

I don't believe you'll reach your numbers with that turbo. It'll be much easier to upgrade the turbo and see more impressive numbers without seeing a restraint. You will always look down upon it. From what I see you already mostly have.

You are already maxing out, and already have a problem with it. Your goals are much higher, so go for the upgrade!

Yea, I don't think you'll hit 500 with that turbo. If you did, I would question the numbers. Upper 400's shouldn't be too much of an issue though.

I guess 471hp.

if you hit or do over 500 id be SUPER surprised. I dont think youll get that even on a dynojet tho and my numbers were generous on one, 241whp/227wtq with red top t25 on 14psi, fmic and 3" exhaust. my guess based on experience with dyno dynamics dyno's will be 460 and thats with e85 and some some generous timing, they were always stingy with me, 220whp/216wtq same setup. for 500 its 3076 or sc61 time, maybe a td06 20g could pull it off. Mobnes only did 477whp with a 3071 and that was on a dynojet. Really hoping to see some good numbers tho as Im using an almost identical setup as you other than 750's instead of your 1000's and my tomei cams are 256's 8.5 poncams and Im anxious to see what mine can/could do.

thank you, yes its starting to look like something finally, ive put many hours and lots of $$$ in it.
but yeah, i could probably kick out around 600-650 at the wheels if i want to (everything should be capable of it, exepect turbo and gearbox :chuckle: )
but i dont want to much turbo lag on it + i want the engine to be a little reliable aswell, since i have licence plates on the car and want to use it on the street aswell.

I am pretty sure mobne made those numbers on regular 98pumpgas not e85..
last dyno when i got 440whp, was on a dynapack (which probably is the most accurate and precise dyno on the marked?)

problem is that its taken lots of hours to customize the ex.manifold and make the exhaust , and if i want a bigger turbo i need to change to the t3flange, so all the money and hours ive spent on making all of that would just be wasted.. + like i said earlier i dont want to much lag on it

If you want, you could add a wet shot of 50 to the turbo housing on the bigger turbo and reduce the lag.

Also, going Supercharger would cut out all the lag...

Your best bet with the turbo being upgraded and larger to prevent any lag just brake boost it.

The best thing to do is put the car on the rollers and see how it goes. Anything can go wrong or everything can go right, but the only way to know is to apply it. Most are guesstimating, but hopefully most know that no matter how many fancy components you add to your engine/car, it will always be a toss-up when it comes to the expected outcome. I won't even try to guess your power output with said components, but I hope you achieve whatever goal you set for yourself. Good luck and let us know how it goes for you.
