Guess that Diff!

well i got my VLSD in a few weeks ago, but have no idea what it is from! here are two pics and some specs:

4.08 gear ratio (49:12 stamped on ring gear)4 Bolt rear cover with cooling finsABS6 Bolt Outputswas told it was a JDM 180sx VLSD, but everything I've read says the 180sx VLSD's had a 4.36 GR with the 6 bolt outputs and 4.08 with the 5 bolt outputs.

What is this VLSD out of!

lol i think me and you have the same diff i pulled it out of a 240sx the guy told me it was from a j30 but i think its from a super hicas

well SOB lol i dont really care that it isn't JDM tyte or anything, i was just really curious. I named it the "mystery diff" when i first got it haha. but yea its a HICAS 240 VSLD

lol... thought so.. cuz an s13 open diff has about the same gear ratio as well.

J30's are like 3.8ish iirc, but have 5 bolt output shafts

Only NA SR and CA18 180s came with 4.36s.
